Female Robin

Behold my complete lack of a creative title for this pic!

Anyway as the title suggest this is my version of a female Robin. Of which there have been at least...well three if you want to count that Ani Comi mini statue. I'm still working on the background details for her and where exactly I'd place her. I kinda want to go with The Batman as maybe after Dick became Nightwing and instead of Tim Drake, but I really DO like Tim Drake and it'd be weird to not have him.

On the other hand I do like the idea of The Batman being it's own continuty and thus not having to follow the norm so I'm a little torn.

Mmmm...

Tina Drake!

Yep, I'm going there.

Edit 2: Backstory! Yep came up with one at work today:

Tina Drake was the only child a Jack Drake, a small time crook. Of course Tina had no idea what her dad did, she just knew they lived in the slumbs and were always strapped for cash. Still he was able to keep her well clothed and fed and really cared for her. Though she wished he was able to hold down a better job and maybe bring in some more cash, Tina cared for her father as much as he did her.

Unfortunately, that did nothing to quell her curiosity to what her dad did or why he always seemed to panicy all the time. So, one night, she snuck out and followed him to one of his "late night meetings". What she found out was shocking; her dad was a hired stooge for Killer Croc!

Sadly the surprised gasp she let out at this bizzare sight gave away her position and caused the rest of Croc's goons to pounce on her. Feeling he had been betrayed, Croc began to visciously beat Jack in front of his daughter. He was about to turn his animalistic rage on Tina herself when Batman suddenly appeared on scene and huge fight broke out.

During the struggled Tina was thrown into a pile of poorly stacked grates which stared to fall on her. Jack used the last of his strength to push his daughter to safety but unfortunately was crushed by the heavy woodened grates. The cominbation of seeing her father dying in front of her and the slight concussion she suffered caused Tina to pass out and when she awoke she found herself inside the Bat Cave!

Still a bit unsettled by all that happened in the last few hours, Tina was taken aback when she saw Batman sitting before her his usual brooding fashion. After several tense seconds he finally spoke up and gave her a choice, one he never had himself. He had the means to set it up so she would be able to live a very well off live with a new, caring foster family and enough money for all her needs.

Or she could chose to follow the path he did and avenge her father's death while also trying to make the world a better place. It would be a hard and arudious journey with every little reward and completely destroy any chance she had at a normal life.

After thinking it over, Tina ultimately decided to take the Dark Knight up on his offer and shortly thereafter became: Robin, The Girl Wonder!
