Tyron Jordan was only ever really good at two things; fixing cars and fighting. The latter came from an incredibly short temper he had developed through his teenage years and the former was really the only thing that could quell it. Unfortunately, because of his bad attitude any job he took in autoparts stores and garages usually resulted in him getting fired after a follow employee or customer said something to set him off. This would usually result in a sever beating and him being hauled off by the cops while his manager screamed at him that he was fired. Unless of course it was the manager he had beaten to a near bloody plup.
Because of these factors finding a steady, legal job was almost impossible to him. Thankfully in Hope City there are plenty of illegal jobs for one to take up. At first he used his skills to carjack people and take the stolen vehicles to a chop shop but that didn't provide enough of an outlet for his anger so again he would find himself getting into fights with his fellow chopshoppers. His tendency to use a nearby wrench as a weapon earned him the rather unimaginative nick name of "Wrench" but he liked it so he decided to go with it. To the point that he tried himself to life a massively oversized wrench to use a weapon when he REALLY wanted to get serious.
While most of the other gangs and criminals stayed away from him because of his reputation, The Crypts sought him out BECAUSE of it. Knowing they needed some extra muscle to help them survived in Hope City they happily hired on Wrench to be their mechanice and top enforcer, two jobs is his more than HAPPY to do. Especially given that the cops in the city tend to look the other way if properly motivated.
Unfortunately, this technique did NOT work in the new superheroine in town and when she started really cutting into their business, The Crypts were eager to let Wrench take care of her. In the interest of good will, however, they had to agree to let him work with their enforcers to bring her down. Not happy about this one bit, Wrench reluctantly agreed to play ball if for no other reason than not only would he get to take down Nitehawk but if any of other guys got caught hit with some "friendly fire" from his wrench in the confusion, well there was just no way of knowing if it was his fault or not.

There's a weapon that can cause quite a bit of damage, or just intimidate people just from the size of the thing. Definitely wouldn't want to mess with Wrench. With that temper of his things are sure to be interesting when he has to work with the other enforcers.
