Gunslinger

As long as she could remember, Cinderella Heartny had been surrounded by Western films and memoriblia. This was mostly due to the fact that her father was a very popular Western director back when they were big in the late 70's and early 80's. She even has a few vague memories of visiting the sets when she was a toddler.

Because of this constant exposure she grew up idolizing the romantized version of the Old West and the rough and tumble heroes that kept it safe. She was completely and totally in love with the ideal of the sheriff that shot first and asked questions later and could sovle every problem with their six shooter or fists.

The only thing she didn't like was the fact that there were no women heroes in these stories. Of course later in life she understood that it was because that's how things where back then but these also knew that these stories rarely reflected the reatlies of the time so why *couldn't* their be a rought and tumble female sheriff as well?

At first she thought she might solve this problem herself by following in her father's footsteps and becoming a Western director. When he told her that it was a dead genre, she turned her creative talents in another direction and instead started writing a series of novels starring a law women who defied the times and kept her small, dusty town safe from criminal scum.

Eventually though she got tired of merely writing about these adventures and started thinking about living them out herself. At first she passed it off as just childish fantasies but the emergance of heroes around the world convinced her to give the whole hero business a try herself.

Naturally she completely indulged her life long fascination and created a superhero identity in the vien of the Western hero save with a superhero's domino mask used to help conceal her identity. Of course she wasn't completely insane and knew she couldn't go around just shooting up criminals since that wouldn't make her any better than them. Instead she chose to use rubber bullets in her twin six shooters to disarm and distract the criminals she fought so that she could lay them out with a few well placed haymakers.

Dubbing herself "Gunslinger" she set out to dispence some old fashioned justice in this modern world and much to even her own surprise she was quite good at it. Enough soon that after only a few weeks of crime fighting she was asked to join a new superhero team called "The Enforcers" put together by a woman calling herself Nightingale. She jumped at the chance to be in a "posse" to bring even more criminals to justice.

Altough the team is still finding it's legs she has no doubts that it'll be something great someday and so will doe everything she can to keep it together and get to know her new teammates more. Especially the mysterious man who calls himself "The Stranger".
