Canus

Bitten in the early 1900s, Thomas Cane has lived with the curse of the werewolf for just over a hundred years. Though what most might see as a curse, he sees as a blessing. He doesn't grow old or sick and unless shot or stabbed with some sort of silver instrutment he will never die. He reveals in the power he has in his woflen form and has used it to make himself quite powerful and weathy as a hire gun throughout the decades.

It is also this attitude that puts him at odds with other werewolves since traditionally they try to avoid calling attention to themselves and prefer to stay in small, rural towns where their feasting can be seen as little more than random animal attacks. A ruse they use to keep the general public ignorant of the fact that werewolves are more than just creatures in bad horror movies and stories.

Thomas, however, always felt that was a waste of their incredible power and spurred their ways for his own, moving from city to city under many assumed names. It wasn't until the rise of the supervillains and his arrival in Hope City that he realized he could really cash in on his abilities.

Going around partially transformed he began to call himself Canus and set himself up as a hired gun for any of the mob bosses or drug dealers that needed a little extra muscle to keep the cops or the growing superhero population of their backs. Most attribute his feral appearance to fancy genetic manipulation, a lie he's happy to have them believe until he so choses to tell them otherwise. Of course when that does happen they usally end up as his dinner.
