Alley Cat

Margot Monterey was a social worker who specialized in helping prostitutes break away from their pimps and report them to the authorities as well as setting them up with respectable jobs. It was a daunting task and at times seemed impossible but her desire to see justice done and make sure those women were safe helped her stay focused.

Still there were times when it seemed like nothing she did mattered and the problem was only getting worse. The biggest issue was that very few of the girls believed she or the authorties could actually keep them safe from their pimps. Despite all their assurances to the contary the girls simply wouldn't believe that the law could keep them protected. As much as she hated to admit it, Margot thought they had a valid point. The pimps simply had no fear of the police or any consquences really.

So in the face of all this Margot was left with only one option; SHE would have to become the thing they feared. Taking inspiration from the hero, and at least one villain, of Hope City she fashioned a superhero identity and costume for herself but with her own twist. Knowing the only thing that would really upset the pimps would be one of their girls turning against them, she put together a costume that made her look like one those "Ladies of the Evening" but with a superhero theme. Which actually surprised her in how well it actually worked in attracting new customers.

News of this new girl calling herself "Alley Cat" quickly spread and soon enough pimps were appearing out of the woodwork to snatch her up. Which of course played right into her hands. She would wait until they tried to get physical with her then made sure to make a big show of beating them up using her self defense training in front of their girls to so them how powerless these people really were. And she was not afraid to give them the same treatment they had been giving their girls.

As news of this "uppity ho" continued to circulate, other protitutes began to fight back against their pimps and turn them in. This new found notoriety also earned her the attention of the mysterious Nightingale who invited her and other street level heroes in the area to band together as a team to use their combined abilities to even greater good.

Though a bit weary at first, Alley Cat agreed to become part of "The Enforcers" and true to Nightingale's word, with her new teammates she's been able to down even more pimps as well as some of their rougher clients and give the girls even greater hope that things will get better.
